Together we are stronger…

“For over a decade The Pettengill House, Inc. has partnered with Newburyport Society for the Relief of Aged Women to provide critical supports and improve quality of life for women 60 years and older in Newburyport, Newbury and Salisbury.  We continue to develop our strong community partnership with NSRAW to address the ongoing needs and financial hardships of older women.

Through grant funding from NSRAW, the Pettengill House Senior Support Program provides comprehensive case management and critical interventions to increase safety and improve overall health and wellbeing for community seniors.  Through the Senior Support Program, Pettengill House identifies and assesses need, conducts outreach, provides direct services and interventions, connects seniors to needed resources, and provides financial supports pertaining to basic needs and medical and mental health care.

Through our work with local seniors, we have identified a need in the City of Amesbury to assist women over 60 facing financial hardships due to a lack of financial assistance programs and funding.  With NSRAW’s support, we are able to respond to this need by expanding the Senior Support Program to Amesbury.  This expansion will help stabilize senior women in need in the Amesbury community by providing needed services, resources, and financial assistance.

We are grateful to NSRAW for their collaboration and deep commitment to providing essential services to at-risk senior women in need, and we look forward to our continued partnership.”
